Review
This review applies to version 2.2
The latest version of this software will soon be reviewed by our
informers.
This program allows you to see hidden characters in text boxes like passwords. It is not a password cracker. The program to obtain the password must allow copying and pasting the password. There are programs that PasswordSpy will not work because they have additional security like: Windows logon screen; Windows NT services; non-standard windows applications like programs written in Java; Web sites Internet Explorer, and Web sites in Mozilla. To utilize the program you have to open the desired program with the password and PasswordSpy. Open the window with the password field and drag the magnifying glass icon from PasswordSpy to the text box with the password. If PasswordSpy can obtain the password you will see a label with the hidden characters. After releasing the mouse you will have the information in PasswordSpy. If you cannot obtain the password you can try clicking in the combo box "Scan level" to increase the scan level "high" or "full". The self installing version of the program will add in Start - All programs a folder named "Freezerware" and a shortcut "PasswordSpy". The zip file will extract the program directly to run in a desired folder. |
- You can obtain lost passwords from most common windows based applications.
|
- It doesn't work with Mozilla, Internet Explorer, password for wireless network connections, windows services, and non standard windows applications.
